Red Kampot pepper is native to Cambodia. You may not compare with pink pepper, wich is used in Europe for colorful pepper. These are theripe berries of black pepper, wich are longer ripening in the sun. The berries are longer on the bushes and develop a rich and fruityflavor. They are hand picked and dried. They are about 3-4 days in the sun to fully ripen. The finished peppercorns are dark redand with a fresh taste, they do not have the sometimes slightly dusty aroma of black pepper.
The red berries are too good for cooking,use them for dips, you grind it by hand and make a thin paste with salt and lemon juice to beef, fish or pasta.
With these peppercorns you will get a true rarity and delicacy.
